A close-fitting collar worked in fine gold granulation, scattered with small ruby ovals and dense beadwork the whole way round.
At the centre sits one large ruby cabochon in a pearl surround — the only part of the piece that is allowed to be loud. The studs repeat that centrepiece at a fraction of the size.
Sits high on the throat, which makes it the easiest set here to wear with a high-necked blouse.
